At Eastlake Acupuncture of San Diego, acupuncture is not simply a quick procedure — it is a comprehensive treatment experience designed to help people find meaningful relief from pain, stress, and chronic health conditions.
For nearly two decades, I have helped thousands of patients throughout San Diego restore function, reduce pain, and regain mobility through carefully tailored acupuncture treatments. My clinical approach blends traditional East Asian medicine with modern integrative techniques to address both the physical and neurological components of pain and stress.
Many patients who come to my clinic have already tried multiple treatments elsewhere and are looking for a more thoughtful, individualized approach. Many of the patients I see are dealing with long-standing orthopedic pain such as back pain, sciatica, neck injuries, or chronic muscle tension that has not responded fully to other treatments. Each acupuncture session is designed to support the body’s natural healing processes while providing measurable improvements in comfort, mobility, and nervous system balance.
The treatments offered at Eastlake Acupuncture are intentionally designed to be more comprehensive than a standard acupuncture visit.
Rather than providing a simple needle placement session, Dr. Ayadi’s signature treatments integrate several therapeutic modalities to maximize results and create a deeply restorative experience.
Treatments may include precise acupuncture, electroacupuncture, infrared therapy to support circulation, targeted medical massage techniques, and calming aromatherapy — creating a treatment experience that addresses both the physical source of pain and the nervous system response that often accompanies chronic conditions.
These therapies work together to address both musculoskeletal pain and the neurological stress response that often accompanies chronic health conditions.
The goal is always the same: to help patients feel better in their bodies, restore mobility, and support long-term healing.
Over the years I have seen patients regain mobility, reduce chronic pain, return to exercise, and feel like themselves again after struggling with symptoms for months or even years.
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years and is now widely recognized as an effective therapy for a variety of conditions affecting both the body and mind.
Patients frequently seek treatment for:
Pain Conditions
Neurological & Stress-Related Conditions
Modern research suggests acupuncture may support healing by improving circulation, regulating hormones, releasing endorphins, and modulating pain pathways within the nervous system.
One of the most important principles in Traditional Chinese Medicine is that no two patients are exactly the same. Even when two individuals have the same diagnosis, the underlying patterns within the body may be very different.
For this reason, treatments are never “cookie-cutter.” I believe patients heal best when they feel heard, respected, and cared for, which is why every treatment is individualized and adjusted as your body improves. Each visit involves careful assessment and adjustments to ensure the treatment continues to support the patient’s progress.
This personalized approach is especially important for people living with chronic or complex conditions, where multiple factors may contribute to ongoing symptoms.
Eastlake Acupuncture of San Diego was created to be more than a clinical space. The intention behind the clinic is to provide a calm, supportive environment where patients can slow down, relax, and allow their bodies to recover.
Many patients describe their acupuncture visits as one of the few moments in their week where they are able to fully disconnect from stress and allow their nervous system to reset.
For individuals dealing with chronic pain, high stress, or long-standing health concerns, this restorative aspect of acupuncture can be just as important as the physical treatment itself.
If you are experiencing chronic pain, stress-related symptoms, or ongoing musculoskeletal discomfort, acupuncture may be an effective option to help support your recovery.

Modern scientific research has increasingly demonstrated that acupuncture can be an effective treatment for a variety of pain conditions. One of the largest and most widely cited analyses of acupuncture research examined data from nearly 20,000 patients across multiple randomized controlled trials. This individual patient data meta-analysis found that acupuncture produced significantly greater pain relief than both no treatment and sham acupuncture for conditions such as chronic back pain, osteoarthritis, chronic headaches, and shoulder pain. The researchers concluded that the benefits of acupuncture were not solely due to placebo effects and that treatment effects were clinically meaningful and persisted over time.
In addition to chronic pain research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses have found evidence that acupuncture can help with neurological and pain-related conditions such as migraines and neuropathic pain. For example, meta-analyses of randomized trials have shown that acupuncture can reduce migraine frequency and intensity and may improve cerebral circulation associated with headache disorders. Other studies evaluating neuropathic pain have found that acupuncture significantly improves pain scores compared with control treatments, with generally mild and reversible side effects.
Researchers have also begun to understand the biological mechanisms behind acupuncture’s effects. Studies using neuroimaging and physiological measurements suggest that acupuncture can influence pain signaling pathways in the brain, regulate the nervous system, increase local blood flow, and stimulate the release of endorphins and other natural pain-modulating chemicals. Systematic reviews have further reported that acupuncture may reduce postoperative pain and decrease reliance on opioid medications in some settings, highlighting its role as a safe, non-pharmacological approach to pain management.
Your quality of life depends on how you feel physically, emotionally, and mentally. Acupuncture is a natural way to heal immediate injuries and pain, but its true purpose is to help you achieve ongoing health, balance, and harmony! Why not make acupuncture part of your health maintenance routine.
